Phoenix, Arizona Operations

RockBottom, an affiliate of Congress Materials, has operations at the Congress Mine.  RockBottom is located northwest of Phoenix in Congress, Arizona on Highway 79.  The Congress Mine consists of high-quality granite for use as railroad ballast, flex base, concrete rock (ASTM #57 Stone), and specialty stone.  The material is approved for use by BNSF and A.D.O.T.

Products

1 1/8” Flexible Base

Flex Base material is our most commonly used product.  Typical applications include road base, parking lot material, and base material below paving.  This material is approved by A.D.O.T.

 

Railroad Ballast

The railroad ballast is approved by BNSF for use as railroad bedding.

 

Concrete Rock (ASTM #57 Stone)

Used in read-mix concrete, backfilling retaining walls, and pipe embedment.

 

2” Stone

The 2” stone is a clean stone commonly used around leach lines and septic tanks.

 

Landscape Rock/Decorative Boulders

Available in various sizes and colors.

 

Rip-Rap

The rip-rap will be various sizes for use in bank protection for rivers, lakes, ponds, etc.
